About 833 King West
Real Toronto “Hard” lofts for sale are rare. King West lofts for sale are even more rare. This loft at 833 King is one of the nicest true lofts we’ve seen in a long time: the unit is perfectly located at the North/West corner of the building, overlooking King Street and Stanley Park.
833 King West is known as the Perfume Factory. It was built in 1934 and converted to residential lofts much later. Units rarely come up, especially corner units with park views. This is why we decided to dedicate an entire post to this unit and building.
The Loft @ 833 King West
This King West loft offers 9′ 6″ high ceiling and has been extensively remodelled. No expense was spared, including a beautiful kitchen, kitchen island, paint, trip, floors, appliances and light fixtures.
The unit is approximately 1,100 sqft large and configured as a one bedroom plus den. One gorgeous bathroom completes the picture.
Maintenance fees and taxes on this property are very reasonable, and the building is well managed.

Hard Lofts vs. Soft Lofts
Lofts are typically categorized in two: Hard Lofts and Soft Lofts. A “Hard Loft” means an old structure, usually a converted 20th Century factory into residences. A “Soft Loft” means a condo (or other type of housing) made to look and feel like a loft. That can be exposed walls and ceilings, high ceilings (mostly over 9′), industrial style kitchen, etc.
How to Find King West Lofts for Sale

Summary
When it comes to King West lofts, you have some beautiful options, and you can select between hard or soft loft, in several King West buildings. The thing is, these lofts rarely come on the market. When they do, they tend to sell for full price and relatively quickly. Some of these lofts are in the millions (The Candy Factory on Queen West or some of the Wellington St Lofts are a good example), and the smaller ones command high prices.
Pick the best design and finishes you can find, because renovating a hard loft can be a daunting task. It’s better if someone had already made the efforts. Finally, I can give you a list of available area lofts, and ensure you’ll get notified with every new listing within you criteria. Simply contact me with your requests and I’ll take care of you.
