Toronto Condo Rentals are Expensive and Small 2/2

September 26th, 2007 · No Comments

Inventory of Toronto condos and lofts in the downtown core is shrinking, and rental rates are going up. Specifically, chances of finding a decent condo for rent under $1300/mo. are slim. For now, I am still at the opinion that careful buying is a reasonable option.

Here is an MLS counts I ran on September 26th, 2007 for the areas of C1 (downtown West) and C8 (downtown East):

# of Rentals by Price Range

$1100 - $1300: 6

$1300 - $1500: 36

$1500 - $1800: 79

$ Average by Price Range

$1100 - $1300: $1290

$1300 - $1500: $1440

$1500 - $1800: $1633

# Average Bedroom/#Bathrooms by Price Range

$1100 - $1300: 1/1

$1300 - $1500: 1.1/1

$1500 - $1800: 1.1/1.2
